  2. Hi, I am a new blogger from Perth, Australia. I found your blog from looking up “stepparenting” as I was wondering how many more step parent blogs are out there. I am a step-mum to 4 boys aged 20, 18, 8 & 7. My partner is their Mum. The older boys pop in every now and again and the two little ones are with us every second week. My biggest struggle is maintaining my energy levels through out the week we have the boys. I’ve not read through your blog yet but I’m sure I can relate to some of it. I am looking forward to reading through your posts and the ones to come 🙂

    • Oh my goodness we are so close in age with our kids! we have 20, 17, 11 and 9. We obviously face different struggles as hetero/homo couples but i’m certain that we can relate on a lot of levels. (My dad is gay and i have a gay step dad, too.. so i really can relate to some of the differences!). Thanks for following!

  3. How did you find TheStepMomma? I can’t remember.
Are you a step parent? How long? Nope.
What’s your biggest (current) parenting struggle? Getting my son to read more and stop rushing being a grown up.
Has this blog encouraged you or helped you in any way? Yes, when you share your stories it allows me to relate to you.
What do you look for in a parenting blog? Realistic stories about your children: good, bad or indifferent. It let’s me know that I’m not alone.
